College. What comes to mind when we read and hear that? It’s a bit intimidating when you think about it while in the high school world. As a new college student, your brain hits the overload button as all your senses are being used to their maximum to take everything in without missing a thing. There are so many different realms to the college world and this is the introduction to a series of posts that will come on the topic.
The stresses of college are endless but so are the rewards. You have for example: finding the right college, meeting the requirements of admissions, scholarships, financial aid, location, choosing the right major, dorm situations, meeting the right people, fraternities and sororities, Ivy League schools, community colleges, education, the list is seemingly perpetual. Thus the word stress and how much I wish to emphasize that. But on the other hand, there are rewards. A good education than millions are unable to partake in, a higher percentage rating of landing a job within your major of choice, money (possibly the bane of my existence) and financial security, and so much more I can’t even begin to list.
So then, is it still worth it? Yes! In the long run, a good education will pay off in our society and even culture. It gives us the know how to succeed and excel within our job field. Not only does college pay off in the workplace, but it can teach us invaluable lessons about friendships, love, life, religion, relationships, and what have you. It’s a great opportunity that everyone should eventually take advantage of in good time based upon their living circumstances.
This wraps it up for now. A short and brief synopsis of what’s more to come in due time.
Anyone that wishes for advice on the matter, please request it and I will make sure to make a post in lieu of said request(s).
